Access is the thing that goes wrong
Ask your venue three questions: how does equipment get in, what are the lift dimensions, and is there a loading or unloading window. A function room on the third floor with a service lift is straightforward. The same room reached only by an escalator is not.
If your venue has a tight lift lobby, a staircase, a height bar at the carpark or a narrow corridor, tell us when you ask for a quote. We can usually work around it, but only if we know before the lorry is loaded.
Power, specifically
Live food stations need a standard three pin plug point and a waist level table for the machine, or you can rent a table from us. Inflatables run on a blower that stays on for the whole session, so they need a socket within reach of the setup point.
If the plan is outdoors with no building power, say so early. That changes what is possible and it is better known at quoting stage than on the morning.
Floor and ground
Indoors, know what the floor is and whether anything is barred from it. Some ballrooms do not allow staking, some carparks do not allow water. Outdoors, flat ground matters more than surface type, and a slope that looks mild to the eye is a real problem for an inflatable.
Timings and who is there
Our crew arrives about thirty minutes before the event to set up. Someone on your side should be reachable at that point, with access to the room and to the power. Collection happens after the event, so confirm how late you can stay in the space.
One thing that is quoted differently
Delivery, setup and collection are in the price for rentals. Event furniture and equipment work differently: delivery and collection for those are quoted separately from the rest of the order. If your event mixes both, expect to see that split on the quote.
