BounceParkSG offers two stage options: the Modular Stage (customisable black 1m x 1m sections) and the Platform Stage with Carpet and Skirting (1m x 1m sections finished with carpet in black, blue or red, plus skirting). Both are set up and collected by the crew. Delivery is quoted separately.
This guide helps you brief the team with the right details so they can confirm what works for your venue.
What occupies the stage
Before counting sections, list everything that will stand on or use the stage during the event. Common items include:
- A podium or lectern for speeches
- Presentation equipment (screen, laptop stand, projector)
- Performers and their instruments or props
- An emcee or host position
- Microphone stands and monitor speakers
- Award or prize display tables
- Backdrop panels or banners behind the stage
Write down each item and a rough width and depth it needs. This list is what the team uses to confirm whether a configuration works.
Counting sections: illustrative examples
Both stage types use 1m x 1m modules. The examples below show how section counts relate to floor area. These are illustrations to help you estimate, not guaranteed configurations. The team confirms the actual layout for your event after reviewing your venue and requirements.
| Example layout | Sections | Floor area |
|---|---|---|
| 2 wide x 2 deep | 4 | 2m x 2m |
| 3 wide x 2 deep | 6 | 3m x 2m |
| 4 wide x 3 deep | 12 | 4m x 3m |
| 5 wide x 3 deep | 15 | 5m x 3m |
| 6 wide x 4 deep | 24 | 6m x 4m |
These are examples only. Your actual count depends on what goes on stage, how much clearance performers need, and any venue constraints. Share your list and preferred dimensions and the team will confirm.
Beyond footprint: questions to answer before booking
Floor area is the starting point, but the team also needs to know:
- Venue access. How does the stage get into the space? Mention lifts, corridors, loading bays, steps or narrow doorways. The crew brings the sections in and assembles on site.
- Ceiling height. Performers, banners and lighting need clearance above the stage. Tell the team your ceiling height so they can advise.
- Floor surface. Is the venue floor tiled, carpeted, grass or uneven? The surface affects how the modules sit. Mention it in your enquiry.
- Load on the stage. If heavy equipment, large groups or active movement will be on the stage, say so. The provider confirms suitability for your intended use.
- Steps or ramp access. Will speakers walk up from the audience? The team can advise on access options. Do not assume steps or ramps are included unless confirmed in your quotation.
Modular vs platform: choosing a finish
Modular Stage
- Customisable black 1m x 1m sections
- Confirm the finish and any covering in your quote
- Describe the finish you need and confirm any covering or decorative additions with the team.
Platform Stage with Carpet & Skirting
- 1m x 1m sections with carpet in black, blue or red
- Skirting finish
- Suited to corporate events, award ceremonies and dinners where a finished stage appearance matters
Both options are set up and collected by the crew. Tell the team which finish you prefer, or describe your event and they will recommend.
Optional sound and emcee hosting
A stage often needs sound equipment and sometimes an emcee. Ask whether any of these options is included in your stage quotation:
- Audio Visual covers PA systems, wireless microphones and system panels. See the Event Sound and Microphone Checklist for what to tell the team about your sound requirements.
- Event Emcee is a hosted programme service. The emcee welcomes guests, introduces activities and runs the schedule. Confirm the hosting period and its inclusion in your quotation.
Include any sound or hosting needs in the same enquiry so the team can plan delivery and setup together.
