Bouncy Castles at Singapore Chalets: Check the Venue Rules

Booking a chalet does not automatically permit a bouncy castle. Each venue sets its own restrictions on inflatable type, size, surface and power source.

If you are planning a birthday or gathering at a Singapore chalet and want to include a bouncy castle, the first step is the venue's own rules. Different chalet operators publish different conditions, and some restrict the type of inflatable, the dimensions, the setup surface or the power source. Check these details before hiring so you can choose equipment that the venue will accept.

CSC @ Loyang: self-pump inflatables only

The CSC @ Loyang FAQ (Rooms FAQ, item 10) states that only self-pump bouncy castles are permitted, not motorised ones. The published maximum footprint is 1.6 m by 2.0 m, and the inflatable must be set up on the pavement, not on grass. These conditions are specific to CSC @ Loyang and should not be assumed to apply at other CSC venues or Singapore chalets in general.

Do not select a model on dimensions alone. Ask the rental supplier for the exact model's inflation and power requirements, then send those details to CSC @ Loyang before deciding whether it meets the published conditions. This guide does not identify a BounceParkSG model as approved for the venue.

NSRCC bungalows: limited published dimensions

The NSRCC country club chalets page links to the current Bungalow Compendium (PDF, FAQ section, page 19). The compendium states that a small bouncy castle "at the size of 3m" can go at the verandah.

This wording gives a single dimension only. It does not publish a second axis, a height limit, approved power source or specific approved model. It is not enough information to confirm whether a particular bouncy castle will be accepted. Before hiring, contact bungalow reception to confirm: the exact dimensions they will permit (length, width, height), whether a continuous electric blower is allowed at the verandah, and any surface, access or timing restrictions for your booking dates.

Check the rules for your own chalet

The two examples above show why a rule from one operator cannot be carried over to another. If you are considering a different chalet, ask its operator about your exact unit, booking dates and proposed inflatable. A chalet booking or a photograph of a previous party does not establish permission for the equipment you want to bring.

Decision checklist before hiring

Use this checklist when you have identified a chalet venue and a bouncy castle you want to hire. These are suggested questions to resolve with the venue and the rental supplier, not rules imposed by BounceParkSG.

  • Get written permission from the chalet operator for your exact unit and booking dates, specifying that you intend to set up a bouncy castle.
  • Send the venue the inflatable's overall dimensions (length, width, height when inflated) and whether it requires a continuous electric blower or is manually inflated.
  • Ask the venue for the designated setup surface (pavement, verandah, grass, indoor floor) and confirm it suits the inflatable's base.
  • Ask about the delivery and collection access route: vehicle size limits, loading bay or drop-off point, and any time windows the venue enforces.
  • Ask which power arrangements the venue permits and what the selected equipment requires. Confirm these with the venue and rental supplier together.
  • Ask for any additional venue restrictions: noise limits, operating hours, insurance requirements, or areas that are off-limits for equipment.
  • Obtain the venue's current written confirmation before committing to the rental.

If the venue's conditions do not match the inflatable you have in mind, discuss alternatives with both the venue and the supplier before booking. Do not assume that changing the model or setup surface makes it acceptable; confirm the proposed alternative first.
